The nursing pathway at Mountwest Community & Technical College will prepare students for entry into the Marshall University/St. Mary's School of Nursing RN/ASN program.
Students pursuing the Nursing Pathway will be registered for Science, English, Psychology, and Basic Nutrition courses to prepare for entry into the Marshall University/St. Mary’s School of Nursing program. Classes taken at Mountwest Community & Technical College can transfer to Marshall University for completion of the program.
Students should apply for Mountwest Community & Technical College and plan on spending a year taking general education/introductory courses during this time. While admitted at Mountwest, students should apply to St. Mary’s School of Nursing/Marshall University for admittance into the Marshall University program. Students can transfer courses taken at Mountwest to Marshall University seamlessly for completion of the degree, earning an ASN from Marshall University.
